CHAD KOMOCKI

PERCUSSION

Chad has been playing the drums for over 35 years and has studied with many fine musicians including Robert Jospé (World Rhythms) at the University of Virginia, Memo Acevedo (Afro-Cuban Essentials), Kim Plainfield (Contemporary Afro-Cuban Styles), and Bob Quaranta (music director for Mongo Santamaría /Latin-Jazz) at the Drummers Collective in New York City. Chad teaches Spanish and directs the Jazz Ensemble at Hawken School. When not gigging around town with various jazz, Latin, rock, blues, country, and classical groups, Chad enjoys taking students to Latin America on service-based immersion trips. He just returned from 16 days in Cuba and is ready to share his passion for music with you.
