Demetrius Steinmetz

Demetrius Steinmetz hasn’t met a musical instrument that he didn’t like. He has spent time playing many different instruments since he was a child including violin, guitar, drums, piano, bass, saxophone, dulcimer, and even penny whistle. He is a member of the Jazz Studies faculty at Tri-C where he leads ensembles and teaches applied lessons. Demetrius holds a Master of Music in string bass and Bachelor's degree in Jazz Studies. He performs regularly at many venues throughout the Cleveland area. His favorite style of music to play is jazz, but he also enjoys playing many different musical styles. Some of his favorite musicians include Stevie Wonder, Count Basie, the Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Todd Rundgren, Bill Evans, Tony Bennett, and too many others to mention here.
